GOMBs 2015
The Old Men of Baseball celebrated their 12th year in the Arizona desert with a tour of Salt River Fields in Scottsdale conducted by our dear leader's son-in-law, Bryan Minniti, assistant general manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks. We got to see many of the Cubs of the near future whose farm system is ranked number one of the 30 major league teams. Top rated prospect Kris Bryant hit two home runs for the GOMBs on Saturday, the first of which easily cleared the left field bleachers at Sloan Park. Shortstop-to-be Addison Russell also hit one out of the park. Hopes are extremely high on the north side of Chicago.
